This event is part of Sheffield Steel City Beer Festival 2022 (SCBF46).
Dave Pickersgill will provide an illustrated overview of the heritage aspects of many of the pubs located within the Sheffield boundary. Several local pubs will be described in detail. Dave will also talk about the value of pubs, beer and brewing to Sheffield’s economy and external image.
Dave is Pub Heritage Officer for Sheffield & District CAMRA and editor of the book, ’Sheffield’s Real Heritage Pubs.’ Dave leads local pub heritage walks and has had beer-related articles published in many outlets, including: Beer, Beer Matters, Imbiber, Now Then, Pub Heritage Society Newsletter, Sheffield Telegraph and What’s Brewing.

The Thursday talk will occur at 18:00.
The Friday talk will occur at 14:00.
Both talks will take place in the Teaching Room: over the bridge from the Main Hall, then turn left.
These talks are part of the 2022 Sheffield Steel City Beer Festival. There is no charge for attending the talk. However, you will need to enter the Beer Festival in advance. This entry will incur the Beer Festival admission fee:
