We are an independent, voluntary organisation which campaigns for real ale as well as protecting and promoting community pubs and clubs and fighting for consumer rights.
We have over 190,000 members across the country who work to champion beer and drinkers as well as pub and club goers. Our campaigns range from protecting pubs threatened with closure, fighting unfair taxation on beer and cider and ensuring fair competition and choice in the pub and beer market.
Our members support well-run pubs as the centres of community life and believe their continued existence plays a critical social role in UK culture. For more information on our campaigns, please visit: camra.org.uk/campaigns
Our festivals are all about introducing you to great beer and are run by our members, who volunteer their time to make our events extra special. They bring together years of experience with a passion for top quality real ale and local knowledge that's hard to beat!
Mission:
• Protect and improve consumer rights
• Promote quality, choice and value for money
• Support the public house as a focus of community life
• Campaign for greater appreciation of traditional beers, ciders and perries as part of our national heritage and culture
• Seek improvements in all licensed premises and throughout the brewing industry
