Event Details

This training course is aimed at beer lovers (both experienced and less experienced), who want to understand more about why a beer might not taste as it should.

It's ideal for anyone who:

  • does NBSS scores
  • is active on a CAMRA Tasting Panel
  • or has any involvement with beer at beer festivals.

The course will start at 1pm and will be finished by 5pm.

By the end of this course, you will be able to:

  • state where off flavours come from
  • describe some of the more usual off flavours in beer and why they occur
  • identify and taste some beers that are meant to have 'off flavours'

At the end of the course, you have the option of gaining a Certificate of Attendance or, after taking a quiz, a Certificate of Competency. The course has been independently accredited by People 1st.

No prior experience is necessary.
