Bradford Beer and Cider Festival 2024

This year we are celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Bradford branch of CAMRA, hence the 1970s theme in the posters etc., and also the 25th (non-consecutive) Beer Festival at Victoria Hall, Saltaire. The first was in 1998 but we had to cancel in 2021 and 2022 because of the Covid pandemic.

Run by CAMRA volunteers, Bradford Beer and Cider Festival 2024 will showcase some of the best beer and cider the UK has to offer. 110+ Real Ales, Cider and Perry and selected wines. We will aim to have all 110 cask ales available at the start of every session including Saturday Evening. You will have the same choice of ales available for the first couple of hours on Saturday Evening as you would on Thursday Afternoon.

No advance tickets are available for the Thursday 29th February 2024 (2.00-10.00pm) session - only on the door. £4.00 for non-CAMRA members - Free entry to card carrying CAMRA members this session.

For other (ticketed) sessions CAMRA members will receive a complimentary half pint token on production of a valid membership card. A minimum of 75 tickets will be for sale on the door for ticketed sessions on a first come first served basis.

Tickets are now on sale in the following pubs - Chip 'n' Ern (Bingley), Boar & Fable, Corn Dolly and Fighting Cock (Bradford), Cap & Collar (Saltaire), Crafty Kernel and The Fox (Shipley) until approximately 1 week before the festival. Any unsold from the pubs will then be transferred to online.

Entertainments: Thursday Evening - The Mighty Wurlitzer Organ, Friday Evening - Strange Brew (60s/70s Psychedelia), Saturday Lunchtime - Hall Royd Brass Band, Saturday Evening - Hot Foot Powder (50s/60s band). Binns of Saltaire will be providing a range of food including vegetarian options.

No under 18s are allowed. Only assistance dogs will be allowed in the hall.

Update: A train strike has been announced for Friday 1st March by the train drivers’ union ASLEF. If you have bought a ticket for either of the Friday sessions and cannot now attend a refund is available until midnight on Friday 23rd February. Just contact us by sending a message with your booking reference using the contact facility at the bottom of the page. Perhaps you could attend on Thursday (pay on the door only) and/or Saturday (tickets available here) instead?

On the Thursday of the festival a film crew could be present. Please note that by attending the festival you agree that you could possibly appear in the background of some of the scenes.

We are an independent, voluntary organisation which campaigns for real ale as well as protecting and promoting community pubs and clubs and fighting for consumer rights.
We have over 160,000 members across the country who work to champion beer and drinkers as well as pub and club goers. Our campaigns range from protecting pubs threatened with closure, fighting unfair taxation on beer and cider and ensuring fair competition and choice in the pub and beer market.
Our members support well-run pubs as the centres of community life and believe their continued existence plays a critical social role in UK culture. For more information on our campaigns, please visit: camra.org.uk/campaigns
Our festivals are all about introducing you to great beer and are run by our members, who volunteer their time to make our events extra special. They bring together years of experience with a passion for top quality real ale and local knowledge that's hard to beat!
Mission:
• Protect and improve consumer rights
• Promote quality, choice and value for money
• Support the public house as a focus of community life
• Campaign for greater appreciation of traditional beers, ciders and perries as part of our national heritage and culture
• Seek improvements in all licensed premises and throughout the brewing industry
